Kathleen is the former owner of Rehabilitation Specialists, which she established in 1982. She now serves as a consultant to the practice. Within the field, Kathleen has specialized in childhood apraxia of speech, dysphagia, and autism. She earned her Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh and has authored multiple published articles on childhood apraxia of speech, dysphagia, Melodic Intonation Therapy, and autism spectrum disorder. Kathleen likes reading and keeping busy with her 4 grandchildren, who range in age from 10 months to 11 years–all boys (a fun fact about her is that she also has 2 sons and 3 brothers, making her the female anomaly in her family)!
